Books Printed and Embarking

Hello folks, 

I am very happy to announce that the books have been printed and are being prepared for shipment now. While I don't have a firm understanding of the exact timelines this is a vital milestone for getting the book into your hands. 

I also wanted to let you know that I will be making a few minor updates to the PDF version of the game in the coming weeks to reflect some last-minute prepress corrections we made. Those updates will be made on the Backerkit, DTRPG, and Itch versions of the game as soon as we can pull them together.

Proofing Time

Hey folks, 

I just wanted to send off a quick update to let you know that the first printer's proof has reached me and it looks pretty fabulous in person. I am now in the process of going through the book for a line-by-line hunt for errors for final corrections before it goes to press. It's going to take several months to print and ship the thing but we wanted to ensure you got this sneak peak.  

We are going to be a bit more sporadic with the updates going forward. We will send our next update when the book is printed, and then once more when we receive our copies in the warehouse.

Reaching the Stars

I am very happy to announce that we have finalized the PDF version of Once More Into the Void with complimentary copies being sent from both DriveThruRPG as well as Itch.io in the coming days. We hope that the digital version of the game gives you joy and empowers you to tell emotionally gripping stories of space heroics.

That's not all though. I have been working with the printer we hired for the project and sent off the revised layout files for the proofing process. They should be sending me proofs in the next couple of weeks, and then they will begin the epic process of printing & shipping all of those beautiful tomes. Based on the current production timelines, we expect that the books will be printed and shipped out in Q1 of 2024. It's too early at this point to provide accurate estimates for when you might get the hardcovers in hand but we are eager for that to happen.

Advanced PDF Release for Once More Into the Void

Good news everyone!

I am very happy to report plenty of good news in this backer update.  Christopher has made it through his medical crisis in remarkably good spirits and is on the mend after serious medical intervention. He insisted that finishing off the proofing work would be helpful during his convalescence period and he completed a series of lovely corrections last week. I have just finished implementing those changes last night and am happy to share that the advanced backer version of the PDF is now ready!

Advanced Backer PDF: I will be using Backerkit to send out digital downloads of Once More Into the Void to all the backers who have filled out their info.  Check your spam filters to make sure you get the download link and we hope you like it.

As a game publisher, we often find some gremlin invariably introduces little errors, typos, and other issues in the PDF the moment that it goes out to the public and we appreciate your help in fixing the damage as much as possible. If you have any feedback or notice any issues, please use this form by September 17, 2023 and we will credit you in the book. PDF FEEDBACK LINK

Print Copies: After we implement any feedback we receive; we will lock down the final version of the game for proper publication. We have gotten a competitive quote from a Canadian printer and will be working with them for this offset print run. We will be printing 2000 copies so that all of you fine folks get the copies you are owed and we are able to get the book in stores. If you have any friends or family interested in pre-ordering a hard copy, now is the perfect time to do so. PREORDER LINK 

Digital Libraries: After we lock down the final PDF we will be uploading the game to both itch.io and drivethrurpg. We will send you fine folks complimentary copies on both platforms so that you can easily redownload them in the future. At that point, we will also put the digital version of the game for sale up there with all profits going to Rae.
